6 - Importing and Validating Templates

  1. Search for your Tracker Program using the search bar in the List of Programs.

  2. Select your Tracker Program.

  3. Click the Import button to open the Template Importer.

  1. Click the Select File button and open your UCT.

  1. After selecting your Template, the file name should be displayed besides the Select File button.

  1. To Validate and Import a Template, click on the Import button. This will automatically process your file and determine if there are any errors in the file structure. This is NOT a validation of your configuration, this step only checks the file integrity.

  1. Now you can click the Close button to review your changes before Validating and Saving your configurations. As we previously removed the Age Tracked Entity Attribute, it should be displayed in the Removed Section:

  1. Now, click the Validate & Save button to proceed.

  1. If there are any validation errors, those will be displayed in a Validation Errors Section (similarly to the Removed Section). The errors are detailed by Stage so you can easily identify where you should refer in the Template in order to fix those issues before re-importing and trying again. To see more details of a specific error, click the ❗icon located at the far-right.

You can also click the ❗icon on any Stage to see a list of all the Validation Errors in that specific Stage:

Those errors should match what is displayed in the Errors/Warnings/Info column of your Template.

  1. If there are no Validation Errors, you will be greeted by this window. Click the Save button to persist your changes in the DHIS2 server.

  1. Once the process is completed, you will se a confirmation message, click the Done button.

  1. Now you are able to build the Program Rules that you configured in your Template. To do this, click the Build Program Rules button that has been enabled after saving your changes.

  2. The process is started automatically and should be completed in a few seconds, displaying the following message:

  1. Now your Tracker Program is all set up and ready to be used.
