The Sharing Settings App allows users to configure object permissions efficiently. While it provides a seamless means to make adjustments, it is good to uphold best practices by validating the precision of applied changes. To do this verification process, users can use a suite of applications including the Maintenance App, Android Fork, Capture App, and various others.

Once the Sharing Settings are applied, it is advisable to clear the cache of DHIS2 Server to avoid false negatives


Verifying the changes using the Maintenance App

To verify the changes using the maintenance app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Sharing Settings App.

  2. Select an Object, in this case we’ll use a Program.

  3. Select your Program.

  1. Open the Program Menu.

  1. Enter a User or User Group and assign an access level.

  2. Click on the Give Access button. The User will be added to the access list.

  1. Open the Maintenance App.

  2. Select the Program Tab and Select the Program Section.

  3. Search for your Program configured.

  1. Open the Program Menu and Select Sharing Settings. Verify the User or User Groups is displayed correctly.

  1. Click on the Pencil icon and verify the permissions applied.
