The Individual Mode allows Users to configure the Sharing Settings for an individual Object.

To Access to the Individual Mode, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Individual Mode Tab. All Elements related to the selected objects will be displayed in a table (See Image 1)

The Individual Mode Table comprises the following columns:

  1. Name: Indicates the title of objects associated with the selection in the Side Menu.

  2. Public Access: Displays ✅✅ icons if the object allows public access for both Data and Metadata. Conversely, if the object lacks public access, a 🚫 icon will be shown.

  3. External Access: While the Sharing Settings App doesn't permit external access modification, the current permissions will be presented using specific conventions.

  4. Groups: Shows the User Groups assigned to the object, along with their corresponding permission types.

  5. Users: Exhibits the Users linked to the object, accompanied by their respective permission levels.


Access to the Sharing and Access Screen

The Sharing and Access Screen allows users to modify the Sharing Settings for only one object at a time, either individually for a user or collectively by user group.

To access the Sharing and Access Screen, follow these steps:

  1. Select an Object in the Side Menu.

  2. Select the Individual Mode Tab.

  3. Select the desired row in the table.

  4. Open the Objects Menu by clicking on the three dots located to the far-right (See Image 2).

  1. The Sharing and Access screen will appear with the current configuration (See Image 3).

The title of the modal will dynamically update with the name of the selected object


Assigning access to a User or User Group

  1. Select an Object in the Side Menu.

  2. Select the Individual Mode Tab.

  3. Select the desired row in the table.

  4. Open the Objects Menu by clicking on the three dots located to the far-right

  5. Enter the name of the user or the user group in the search field. The results with the matching name will be displayed. Select your user or user group.

  1. Now, let’s proceed to select the Access Level. The Options are the following:

    1. View Only: The user can only view the object while searching for it using the Maintenance App, but the user will not be able to open and edit the object.

    2. View and Edit: The user can view and edit the object using the Maintenance App.

  1. After selecting the user and the access level, the Give Access button will be enabled. Click on it.

  2. The user or user group added will be displayed on the user list with access to the Object. The name of the user/user group will be shown with a legend indicating the access level below the name and at the far right of the row.
