Introduction

PSI allows participant MPHD sub-grantees to electronically submit their data using a standard DHIS2 CSV data value format. Metadata UIDs used in your CSV should ideally refer to PSI's DHIS2 Data Elements and Cat Combo Options UIDs, or alternatively a UIDs mapping should be provided. See DHIS2 CSV data value documentation to learn about the DHIS2's CSV file conventions.

Org Unit submission

If the facilities and districts that you will be reporting on do not already exists in PSI's main DHIS2 server, you will need to send your organisation unit tree, so PSI can set up the Organization Units in preparation for your data submission. We recommend that you use this xlsx template. Please see Organisation Unit Groups to learn more about the different classification required for facilities and districts.

Data elements and category combination options UIDs

using PSI's MPHD metadata definitions

Your data CSV data value file must use data elements and cat combo options UIDs as per PSI's MPHD data model. You can see PSI's UIDs on this template.

using your own metadata definitions

Please send us your data element & category combo options mapping to PSI's MPHD UIDs using this template.

How to use Mapping form

This form is an Excel document that contains 5 sheets, where only 2 of these need to be filled out, "DE" sheet where the data elements are listed and "CatOptCombos" where the Category Option Combination are listed. To provide more context, a data CSV file contains Data Elements and their respective Category Option Combination, to properly map data elements outside PSI server we require them to be included in the document. Category Option Combination are simply a combination of categories that a data element can be disaggregated into, e.g. Gender, Age, Type of Facility, etc.

DE Section

In this section, you need to list all data elements that your organization/server is using in order to match the data elements found at the "PSI DEs", in essence what we need is the data element name and their respective UID. For the record, when an user downloads the data from the import/export tool, this is what you receive:

The green arrow shows the data element UID, the red arrow is the UID of the Category Option Combination, which is also a must at the time of mapping. Organisation Units can be shared later, as long as we understand that mapping between the data elements that you have on your servers versus what is in our server, it will work.

The UID of those data element and their respective names (which can be found in the maintenance app) needs to be compared with the UID which can be found in the sheet "PSI DEs", "PSI Cat Combos Facility" and "PSI Cat Combos District".

To give a little bit more context, an already worked file should look like this:
